How to enable HTTPS on your site

Hence, every website owner, being part of the Internet, must activate the secure communication with visitors by issuing a protection certificate and converting the site to HTTPS instead of HTTP until its connection is secure and reliable, here’s how to enable HTTPS secure connection on your site hosted in Iraq Serv.

First: You need to ask the support team in Iraq Serv to issue an SSL certificate because this certificate allows your website to work over HTTPS instead of insecure HTTP and some hosting companies offer this service for an annual fee, but in IraqServ we provide it for free to our customers who subscribe to Shared hosting and reseller service.

Second: Activate the HTTPS secure connection on your site. After completing the first step successfully, you must modify your site so that it works on HTTPS instead of HTTP, and you can use the technical support team in IraqServ to activate it for free.

Activation through .htaccess file

Create a file called .htaccess inside the home folder if it doesn’t exist and add the following code to it:

RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=on
